About Barbara's Standard Poodles
My Story
We are a family-owned and operated breeder that has been in the business for over 10 years. My passion for standard poodles started when I got my first standard poodle. I fell in love with their loyal and friendly nature. Since then, I have been dedicated to breeding healthy and happy standard poodle puppies for families to enjoy. Also, some of my standard poodle puppies have gone on and become therapy dogs. I truly love this breed they are dear to my heart. My Tucker has gotten me thru some rough times in y life. He is no longer with me. But still feels my heart. His line is still carried on.
My Breeding Process
I take great pride in my breeding process, which starts with carefully selecting my breeding pairs. I only breed pairs that meet my high standards for health, temperament, and conformation. My standard poodle puppies are raised in a loving and nurturing environment and receive regular veterinary care and socialization. They are raised in my home. My whole pack helps raise each and every litter. I am hands on from the moment they are born. Until they leave my home. Some still come back for regular grooming. I enjoy seeing them grow up to become wonderful dogs and family members. Some I puppy sit. Which I love doing. These dogs are more than breeders they are family. Their puppies are family. To all who get one. They're welcomed into my poodle family.
MY Facilities
My facility is my home. The puppies start out in 1 room for the birthing. When they hit about 1 week old. Thier mom will start to let Zoey into babysit. While she goes outside. Zoey is the alpha female of the pack. Then at about 3 to 4 weeks, or when the puppies start to climb out of the birthing pool. They are moved to a big pen in the puppy room / grooming room. For a couple of days to adjust to a new room. Then they get the run of that room. Then mom starts to let the other females in to play with the puppies. All my females help each other raise the puppies. Of course I am there also. It is a joint effort. I think that is why I have such great puppies. Why people keep coming back to me to add a new member to their family. Most come back for at least a second puppy. Some for a 3rd or 4th puppy.

Erik was the largest male in Gypsy's first litter. Erik is a TRICOLORED white apricot and creme. He was on Born May 2, 2024. Only 2 males in the litter. Erik weighed almost a pound at birth. His dew claws have been removed. I do not dock tails. He will be up to date on all his shots and will be wormed and micro chipped. Erik will probably be a royal or a giant poodle. Just a different name for a very large standard poodle. He will probably be over 80 lbs. He is a very sweet baby. Erik has a great personality. He is house broken and walks on the leash pretty good. He has been socialized with people and other dogs. He loves the water, plays in the rain and the water bowls all the time. He is a true water dog. He would make a good fowl hunting dog. Which they were originally bred for.

Our Facilities
Our facilities are designed to provide our standard poodle puppies with a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment. We have spacious indoor room that is heated and air-conditioned, as well as large outdoor play area where our puppies can run and play.
Barbara was a vet. tech at one time. She works closely with 2 vets in our area. To make sure that the breeding pairs are healthy. Which helps to make healthy puppies. All the dogs are well cared for and loved They are family not just breeders. You can set up an appointment to check us out. But if we have puppies no one can touch puppies until their first shot. For their safety.
